We  are going to take you through how to setup SSL Certificate on your website in less than 30min using Control Panel (Cpanel) on Host Cradle.

  • First  step is to purchase your SSL Certificate of choice we selected Positive SSL Certificate from HostCradle
  • You will be given different option to pick on.
  • Once you have completed purchase next step is to login to your Control Panel (CPanel)
  • Search for SSL/ TSL Click on the icon that appears

The below will appear. 

  1.                Private Keys (KEY)

Key Size: Leave the default (Recommended)

  • Description enter a short description
  • Generate Key
  • Done!

If you have an existing key, paste the key in section given, or upload it to the server.

2.             Certificate Signing Requests (CSR)

Complete CSR in order to obtain a certificate from a trusted SSL provider.(in this case COMODO).  You do have an option to create your own certificate, visitors to site will get the following

“Your connection to this site is not fully secure”

Complete form with required details

  • Domains * e.g. mydomain.com
  • City*,State*,Country*,Company*,Company Division, Email, Passphrase, Description.
  • Once form is completed click Generate

Done. Encoded CSR will be issued.

Copy the CSR from

—–END CERTIFICATE REQUEST—–

3.               Issuing certificate

  • Return to your dashboard on HostCradle
  • Click on Issue Certificate from SSL Provider

The issuing of certificate is in two steps

Step 1

  1. Paste the CSR generated in CPanel to the space provided
  • Click next

Step 2: 

  • Select email you wish to receive your verification from your certificate authority/ provider.
  • If the email you would like to use if not appearing select “Other” and enter in the email address:

Once the steps have been completed email will be sent to your selected email address for verification process.

Verification of SSL

Verification email will be sent by your Certificate provider follow instruction click link to verification process and copy code to be pasted in Window for verification

 

Enter Validation code and click “Next”

 

 

 

 

An email will be sent with a certificate issued by the SSL Provider.

  • Copy the certificate from email to clipboard

4.        Certificates (CRT)

Paste the certificate in the space provided and “Save Certificate”

5.        Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS)

  • Select domain to assign the SSL to website
  • Paste the Certificate (CRT) option will appear once you have paste CRT to AUTOFILL the remaining information Private Key already on Server or you may paste the key.

 

  • Install certificate.
