Most managers make the mistake of telling their “employees” that they must work as a team yet their behaviour is the opposite of what team work is. You cannot tell a department to be a team, yet you have never worked with them on anything or particiapted in any work that was important. A team is only as good as the participation of the Leader. Management must not just be control and organisation, it must also be participative and true leadership.
