If you are a manager then you may wonder where it is you might be going wrong with your subordinates.
Here are 5 don’ts for the day :
1. You are bossing the meeting and not leading the meetings. Give everyone a chance to speak before you give your input. By listening it gives you a chance to think about the points being raised and your own opinion
2. Don’t embarrass your subordinates in front of everyone, try a one on one approach today. It helps to gain respect if you respect others
3. Don’t criticize only today, give a compliment also to balance your approach. Take time to appreciate those who do well
4. Stop giving unwarranted favours. It might endear you to those receiving the favors but remember everyone is looking and will expect the same from you
5. Don’t break the rules and expect your subordinates not to break the same rules. The more you break the rules the worse you set a standard that is not easy to fix.
